As many of you are aware, the GMC's updated Good Medical Practice 2024 is now live. We recently ran a webinar, presented by GMC Scotland's Liaison Officers on the changes and a recording of the session can be found on our website, along with slides used on the day, Q&A and other info).
A summary of the changes to medical appraisals based on the new GMP is also available in our resources section.
We have been working behind-the-scenes, updating SOAR and the Medical Appraisal Scotland website to ensure the guidance matches to the new domains. With regards to SOAR development, we are hoping to deploy the GMP changes in late March/early April and will inform everyone once a deployment date is firmed up.
Following on from the system-wide survey in the summer of 2022, we have been working with external developers and stakeholders to redesign SOAR to improve the appraisee's user experience. Alongside the redesign of the appraisee screens, one of the features we will be changing is the SOAR login, where we will move away from the current model and use the Turas/Microsoft login instead. We hope to implement these changes later in the summer and we will provide more details in due course.
