SOAR Deployment Highlights: 2015 - October 7th

There were two key developments deployed:

1) Recognition of Trainer (RoT) forms for Primary Care (GP) users

Previously this development was only for Secondary Care trainers, but following further consultation, we have extended this function to GPs as well. However, please note the following requirements:

Approved GP Trainers are NOT required to complete the RoT forms; also
GPs who work in training practices, but who are not approved trainers, are considered to be "supervising clinicians" and are NOT required to complete the RoT forms either;
For those of you who are not an approved GP Trainer, but you work as a named clinical supervisor with Foundation doctors or in a GP out-of-hours service - you are asked to completed the RoT forms.

2) Amendments to Clinical Academic forms

We have amended the Clinical Academic forms to include a separate section for Objectives.

Administrators please note, we have also made it so you no longer have to have a co-Appraiser assigned to enable the Clinical Academic forms, i.e. if the Appraiser and Co-Appraiser is the same person, just assign them as main Appraiser, and tick the tick box to enable the forms.

## Further IT development

There will be one further development project which should be concluded by end of October, with a view to deploying in the first week of November. This work will be to support and facilitate the Recognition of Trainer processes. We will confirm a definitive deployment date nearer the time.
