Clicking on "Current appraisal" will take you to the appraisal forms section that you need to complete.
All subsections below are split as per sections outlined in this form, with full screens of what each form and section looks like.
The main appraisal form is split into three columns.
In the left hand side is where you detail your supporting information as required for appraisal and revalidation. Each supporting information section will have a section for "Supporting documents" where you can upload the necessary files to support each area. Each section will also have a "Guidance" section that provides a brief outline of the submission requirements, with links to the appropriate sections on the GMC website, as well as a link to a collection of reflective tools on our Medical Appraisal Scotland website.
In the middle column is where you have the background information about you and your practice, your Personal Development Plans, and your self-declaration statements.
If there’s an appraisal meeting scheduled, all the details will appear on the right; letting you know who your completed forms will be shared with when submitted.
If this is NOT the latest appraisal, for example you had an old appraisal that was not signed off, and the “current appraisal” is pointing to that, then liaise with the appraiser in question or the health board admin team right away to get this old appraisal closed off.
By default, SOAR will make you complete the oldest appraisals first as the system was designed and set up to only handle one annual appraisal at a time.
