There is no autosave function on SOAR for appraisees. However, if you make changes on any page and then attempt to navigate away (deliberately or otherwise), you will get a popup message prompted you to save your work first.
This is best illustrated in the PDP Review page.
In this example, because "Reviewing" a PDP item opens up into a new page, if you tried to edit the Status of the PDP (1) and then click on "Review" (2), you will get the the above popup warning message (3).
If you did not intend to leave the page, click "No, cancel" to return to the page and click "Save" at bottom of the page - then continue to move to the next section.
If you meant to disregard the changes you made, click "Yes, Leave" button.
The upload function is fairly self-explanatory and it's available in the various Supporting Information categories. We will use the CPD log pages to illustrate.
Click on the "Add document(s)" button where you see this (1). You will be given options to add a new document or an existing document:
If you were undertaking a 2-year diploma and you have been assigned a different appraiser this year, they wouldn’t know or have access to the submitted documents from your last appraisal. In which case it would be appropriate to re-use the same document in your submission.
Select "Add existing" and find the document from the list of documents in your archive, select the corresponding checkbox (2) and then click on the "Submit" button at the bottom.
Alternatively, select "Add new" to upload a new document. Click on the "Browse file" button to select the file(s) from your device (3). When the file(s) is uploaded you will see the "ready to submit" green status (4) and that's when you click "Submit" to finish.
To rename a document, select the corresponding "Action" button against the document and choose "Rename", give the document a new name and click "Yes rename"
To remove a document from your submission, click on the same "Action" dropdown as above but this time select "Remove".
