SOAR


SOAR is structured by focussing on the supporting information requirements so you don't need to worry about what documents goes in which GMC domain. 

The following video resources have been provided to help you access and navigate through SOAR.

  1. To access SOAR, you require a Turas account. [TO BE LINKED AFTER 11 NOV]
  2. Once you have gained access, navigate to complete your appraisal forms.

SOAR functions

Below is a brief outline of some of the key functions in the system:

  • Add CPD entries on the go
  • Update PDP activities
  • Upload supporting information to appraisal
  • Add reflections/comments where applicable
  • Self declaration statements (health, probity, compliments and complaints)
  • Background and current work activities
  • Access (when required) central MSF tool
  • Submit and share your appraisal documents with your appraiser
  • Review and approve Form 4 summaries (as drafted by your appraiser)

SOAR redesign for appraisees

In November 2024, changes were made on SOAR for appraisees following extensive user feedback.

Due to limited time and resources, not all pages were redesigned in the new platform but plans are in place to address this by using internal NES development resources.
